Breath for Life
We empower individuals and communities to reclaim their health through an evidence-based prevention and support program called CEASE. Our mission is to provide the tools and resources necessary for a smoke-free future for everyone. Our ultimate goal is to empower communities so they can implement CEASE as a sustainable program at large scales.

Our Mission

Sources of Support
CEASE was initially developed through an academic–community partnership in Baltimore, Maryland. While it remains housed at Morgan State University, CEASE has collaborated with researchers and community partners from institutions including Johns Hopkins University, George Washington University, the University of Mississippi, and Charles R. Drew University of Medicine and Science, among others. These collaborations have contributed to the growing evidence base supporting CEASE as an effective, community-centered tobacco cessation program. NIH, American Lung Association, and other institutes have generously supported CEASE over years.
Our Outreach
By uniting with institutional leaders and diverse partners, our programs provide essential smoking cessation tools and community resources to ensure long-term wellness for every demographic across the country.
